My first of having lamb riblets and this lamb dish was a stunner. In fact, the best out of the night. The slow cooked lamb ribs were fork tender that the meat easily pulled off from the bones. It had a nice sticky sweet glaze that cut through the gaminess of meat. The pumpkin puree and pico de gallo made it even more delectable with a refreshing touch. Totally a must-have! 💯
This saffron-infused paella is topped with clams and char-grilled king prawns. The rice was flavourful and cooked just right with a nice firmness and texture to it.
A classic Spanish Tapa dish that was satisfyingly good. Generous amount of succulent and plump shrimps soaked in garlic-infused olive oil were served hot in a skillet. To enjoy it to the fullest, dip the toasted bread to soak up all those sauce and spoon the shrimp over it; and enjoy it in one bite.
The dramatic giant pan of seafood paella looked like it could feed an army but it wasn't as the rice layer was thin so that the grains could acheive the right texture and moisture. The rice dish was loaded generously with the usual seafood - squid, mussels, asari calms and prawns - that were fleshy and juicy. Overall this one-pan rice dish was simply amazing with memorable flavours. 😋😍
*Do order the squid ink version as well. It had a rich depth of flavour and delicously tasty. Couldn't take a good contrasting photo as the room was dimly-lighted.
The beef cheeks definitely lived up to my expectation as the meat was slow-cooked till very soft and flavourful. Served with sauteed asparagus and apple puree, the dish was well-balanced as the light sweetness of the apple puree balanced the richness of the beef and the sauce very well.
The octupus-pork belly combo ($32) was an interesting pairing. Both meats were well-seasoned and grilled till lightly charred and tender; with a finishing touch of paprika dust.
Kulto's version of croquettes ($12) were locally-inspired and looked elegant as they were served with a small dollop of chilli crab sauce. The crust was crispy and taste was light while being rich in flavour from the creamy and savoury crab filling with a tinge of sweet-spiciness from the sauce.
