Domino’s Pizza certainly needs no introduction. The international fast food pizza chain is renown for their New York crusts that are hand stretched from fresh dough and of course, their signature sauce which is made from fresh vine-ripened tomatoes. You simply can’t go wrong with their classic Pepperoni Pizza!

Pint & Dine is a one-of-a-kind culinary establishment with a menu that’s very much inspired by the idea of simple and honest cooking. Their K-Chick Waffle ($18) which consists of the classic fried chicken and waffles combination with an added side of kimchi and onion rings is exemplary of that. Take a bite and you’ll know what we mean!

Charcoal grilled prawns at the same spot in orto after a prawning session. The meat was really fresh and succulent, although it was not easy to catch these prawns. Not going to rate this as this trip was more for the experience, as opposed to the grilled prawns.

The carrot cake is wok-fried with eggs, garlic, chye poh, fish sauce and other seasonings, topped with a mountain of chye poh at the side. The carrot cake is fried beforehand then double-fried upon order for a crispy and eggy texture on the outside, soft on the inside with some wok-hei. The chye poh were surprisingly not as salty with some sweetness and crunch that balance well with the lightly seasoned carrot cake that is not too greasy or overpowering. They also serve up a pretty generous portion which is good enough to share and value for money. Good things must wait so be prepared to queue for it. Got myself Goodness Cup (S$3.80) which was packed with bean curd, grass jelly, Ai-Yu jelly, oat, lotus nuts, sweet potato and taro balls (6pcs).

Nice chunks of century egg that hasn’t melted into the congee… love it for a morning brunch!

Hongkong Steamed Rice Rolls with Fried Fritters is really the best! I could eat them all in a sitting without a blink! Crunchy inside, soft outside! Perfect.

Love this delightful looking & tasty dim sum! Packed full in one mouthful of juicy chives, shrimps…

Very lovely combi - mango & shrimp. I like that the crust was filled with fragrant sesame seeds but a little too chewy. Overall, still a nice bite!

Located a few minutes walk away from Yishun MRT, this Chinese restaurant offers Heng Hua cuisine at an affordable price when compared to higher end establishments like Putien.

For $4.50, the serving of the Heng Hua beehoon was generous - one can find clams, prawns, pork belly, peanuts, tau pok, mushrooms and vegetables to accompany the chewy ultra-thin strands of bee hoon. We also enjoyed the chili served at every table, which was slightly sour, garlicky and does pack a punch.

On top of our mains, we also ordered the deep fried fish that came in three huge pieces. The pieces were well-fried, with crunchy sides and were not overly greasy when one bites into the meat. That said, it can be a bit dry for those who prefer tender and more juicy cuts of fish.

This place is also rather popular so it is advisable to visit during non-peak hours, especially if you’re coming in bigger groups. Other dishes we tried but not pictured were the fried mee sua, oyster omelette and lor mee.

Went to One Sushi last week and ordered Salmon 3 Flavours, Zaru Udon, Mentai Fries, Chicken Karaage, Salmon Teriyaki Don with a set top up (Miso Soup, Cream Puffs and Chawanmushi) and a few $1.80 platters!😇 Paid $50 for 2 pax and honest ratings were that the food was pretty average😅 The mentai fries were loaded tho omg couldn't finish it and the chicken karaage was pretty good!

Overall ratings 5/10😅 I prefer Go Sushi if it was a conveyor belt option or Sushiro for its quality😇
